About the No-Vig Fair Odds Calculator
No-vig odds estimate a market’s prices after removing the sportsbook margin. Enter every outcome, and this tool adjusts their implied win chances so they add up to 100%.
How to use this calculator
- Choose a market with two or three possible outcomes.
- Choose the odds format and enter the odds for every outcome. Include the draw when one is possible.
- Compare the original win chances with the adjusted ones.
- Read the fair odds for each outcome.
Formula and definitions
- For each outcome, raw win chance q = 1 ÷ d.
- Add all raw win chances to get S.
- Fair win chance p = q ÷ S. Fair decimal odds = 1 ÷ p.
- Overround = S − 1. Multiply by 100 for a percentage.
- d
- The offered decimal odds for one outcome.
- q and p
- The raw and adjusted win chances, written as decimals.
- S
- The sum of all raw win chances. A total of 104.76% is 1.0476.
- Proportional method
- Each win chance is divided by the same total, preserving the ratios between them.
Worked example
- At -110 on each side, both raw win chances are 52.38%.
- Together they add up to 104.76%.
- Divide each chance by that total to get 50% per side.
- A 50% chance gives fair American odds of +100.
How to read your result
The fair win chances add up to 100%. They are estimates from the entered market prices.
Removing the margin does not prove that the market’s estimate is right.
Assumptions and limitations
- Include every possible outcome, with only one winner. Two sides of a three-way market are not enough.
- This tool uses the proportional method. Other ways to remove margin can give different results.
- Old prices, different settlement rules, and uneven pricing of favorites and longshots can distort the estimate.
Common mistake to avoid
A price with the margin removed is still an estimate. It does not prove that another bet is profitable.

How results are calculated
Results use the formulas and assumptions above. Money is rounded to cents. Odds and percentages are rounded to make them easier to read.
The calculator uses the odds and win chances you enter. It does not load live odds.
